On July 2, 2025 CODE was honoured to attend the Ontario Education Gathering with His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, Her Honour the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and the Honourable Minister of Education Paul Calandra.  This event recognized and celebrated the achievements of three of our boards – Greater Essex County District School Board, Peel District School Board, and Halton Catholic District School Board who have provided opportunities for students to earn The Duke of Edinburgh Award at the bronze level, through a co-curricular approach.   Two of our Directors of Education, Vicki Houston, Greater Essex CDB and Rashmi Swarup, Peel DSB were also in attendance to receive a Certificate and recognition for their leadership in piloting the Award within their districts.
