Continuous Monitoring
- The London Region used a Stage of Implementation Continuum to obtain system data about current practices related to assessment and learning. Each board reported its stage of implementation (Preparation, Initiating, Implementing, or Sustaining) for a wide variety of factors. A few examples of these factors are: assessment and intervention strategies are aligned with Ministry goals and board improvement plans; district policies and procedures support JK-1 assessment and intervention strategies; there is a continuous cycle of effective evidence-informed assessment, intervention and reassessment; there is ongoing dialogue and reflection about the effectiveness of assessment tools and strategies at the district level; there is collaborative instructional leadership at the district level; student profiles are developed and used to inform individual strategies; interventions are differentiated; parents/families are aware of assessment methods. As a result of the CODE project, each board in the London region has a report on its own stages of development for identified practices and can compare that data with the regional report.
