Assessment of, as, and for Learning
- System targets and standards are set and data is collected and analyzed at established intervals in the London Region. The data is gathered to determine what development is occurring; identify a student's strengths and weaknesses; drive instruction and enable teaching to target areas; sharpen the quality of observations and confidence in the observations; and assess overall program strengths and weaknesses. - The PLAB (Primary Literacy Assessment Battery) used in District School Board Ontario North East is a collection of key literacy assessments derived from various sources. There is also a French version of PLAB for French Immersion students. The assessment battery is supported by the PLAB Intervention Binder, which is a collection of ideas to assist with instruction or intervention for each assessment area tested in the PLAB.
