Collaboration
- In Halton Catholic District School Board, development of an electronic tracking form and the creation of "check-in points" for kindergarten students were dependent on collaborations among multiple departments (i.e., curriculum, special education, and information technology services). - There was shared leadership among a consultant and school team lead teachers in Halton District School Board in the planning of integrated unit plans for students in classroom centres. Team planning and moderation allowed for the successful co-construction of integrated unit plans and corresponding success criteria. [Toronto and Area Region Final Report]
- A project in Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board focussed on a research-informed educational approach proven to be effective in teaching printing and letter recognition. Classroom teachers and special education resource teachers shared information, supports for teaching strategies and new ideas through an electronic network (Moodle) and one-to-one coaching, as well as large group professional learning.
